My mission for the writing posts is to encourage you to keep going. The object is to never stop even when it seems you’re stuck. Kinda like driving in sand.
When your wheels are spinning, don’t just sit there flooring the accelerator. Stop. Think. Turn the steering wheel in a different direction and ease forward.
You can do this by laying aside your current work. Write a short piece that has nothing to do with your WIP. Give yourself the freedom to write whatever comes to mind.
If that doesn’t get the wheels moving, go do something else for a couple of days. When you’ve energized your battery, come back and begin again.
The following meme is meant to encourage you. But I’m not sure if you’ll go away with a cup of hope or a bucket load of angst. LOL!
Either way, write on!

Great advice, when the way forward gets blocked, good to get those wheels spinning in any direction!
Thanks, Joanne. I agree!
I love to step away from my current WIP and freewrite. It often sparks new ideas. Love that quote!
Thanks, Jill. Glad you liked it. Freewriting is fun. I also like stepping away from writing and doing an art project or a DYI building project. It clears my head and gets my characters talking again. Thanks for visiting and commenting. Have a great week!
