Hello, September!

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV).

Hello, September!

Have you noticed a change in the air? In the color of the leaves?

My world is not exactly bursting with autumn, but there is definitely a difference in the atmosphere. And that tells me I need to get busy if I’m going to finish this year’s to-do list. So, I’m taking some time off from the blog to wrap up my projects, work on my WIP, hang out with my family, and take time for some much-needed soul care. I will return in a few weeks. Until then…

What are you marking off your to-do-list?

  1. I have a hard time with fall. It’s just a harbinger of the winter to come.
This year has been so odd all the way around. I threw away my to do list.

    • I have a hard time with winter, Shauna. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing spring is on the way. Thankfully, Georgia doesn’t have long, harsh winters. I’m with you on an odd year. A lot of my projects were cancelled, but my house and farm projects were a must. Have a great weekend.

    • Thanks, Linda. Spring and fall are my favorite seasons. Can’t wait to enjoy all the autumn pleasures. Morning coffee on the front porch, outdoor fires, afghans, pumpkin spice, cinnamon rolls, and candles. 💗

  2. Still heat and humidity here in the Lowcountry of SC. Several stores have pots of mums for sale and that makes me think of fall. 🙂 I will be marking off some writing activities on my “to do” list. I am thankful for a long list of writing opportunities.

  3. Been too hot and humid for me to do any yardwork. It’s a mess. 😞 But trying to get it in shape now that the evenings are starting to cool. Planted some mums yesterday.

    • It’s been too hot to stay outside. I usually get out early and come inside around ten. Doesn’t leave me a lot of time to get things done. I’ve been needing to paint for 3 years, but schedules haven’t cooperated. So now, I’m playing catch up. And please, don’t get me started on the yard. Lol. The wind and rain scatters limbs and leaves everything! I love mums! What’s your favorite color? My is the reddish orange.
