God Is Love

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another (1 John 4:7-11 KJV).

  2. For love is of God. Yes. Today, when there is so much animosity between people, it is good for us to be reminded that God is love, that his nature is love, and that he loves us–and he loves others that we call enemies. In fact, he calls for us to love them, too. “Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you, pray for them that despitefully use you…” Matt 5:44

  3. I awoke today with words from 1 Corinthians 13 blaring in my soul — Love ENDURES, BELIEVES, and HOPES…ALWAYS… and was warmed by the same echo in your post! 🙂
