And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:5-8
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:3-5
We spend our lives trying to obtain patience. And in the end, we are more patient than in the beginning. Which is amazing since we have less time to wait. 😉
But we can’t argue the benefits of patience. All things take time. Our very existence testifies of patience. Nothing happens instantaneously.
Through patience we obtain experience. Let us remember to always have patience with ourselves and with others. No one learns everything the first time around.
Is it easier for you to have patience with others or yourself?

Well, probably myself is the hardest to deal with. 🙂
Well said, Carole. I have no patience with myself when trying to learn something new. That’s why we need encouragement from each other! Thank you for stopping and commenting! 😊
Love that quote, and your photos are always spectacular, Gail!
Thank you, Sandra! I’m still learning the ropes in photography. I love to photograph flowers and animals. Especially horses. The magic takes place in Photoshop and Lightroom. 😉 Thanks for stopping by and commenting. ❤
Love this Gail–praying my daughter will learn this valuable trait as she makes important life choices. Guess she takes after her mom, unfortunately, LOL. Good reminder! 🙂
If she takes after her mom , she will do fine. I think her mom a wise woman! 😊 Thank you for stopping and leaving a comment, my sweet friend!
Awesome, well said😊
Thank you! And thank you for visiting! 😊
This puppy biting stage is surely stretching every last strand of my patience. 🙂
Oh, Tori, I remember those days! I thought I was going to lose every ounce I had with Doug. Thankfully, he’s grown out of that stage. Now, if I can just get him to stop digging in my flower beds!
Happy Tuesday, my sweet friend! ❤
Needed this message today. Hubby and I are trying to have patience as we wait for God’s plan in moving from VA to SC. We want to move soon, as first grand baby is due in August. 🙂
Congratulations on the new one, Mimi! I’d be a little impatient too! Prayers for the door to open! ❤
Gail, thank you for the beautiful reminder to treat ourselves with the same patience we offer to others. Lovely flowers. ❤ I often remind my kids to talk to themselves in the same encouraging way they would to a good friend. As I read your post, I realized I don't always follow my own advice. Oops! 🙂
Blessings ~ Wendy
