I Will Trust

I will trust in the Lord Jehovah

I will trust in God alone

I will be anxious for nothing

He is with me

I’m never alone

He is a mighty fortress

A refuge in time of war

A tower of strength

A shelter from storm

The Rock of my salvation

The Shepherd of my soul

He’s Lord over all

Giving Thanks

I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30

Thanksgiving flower 4-1

David wrote, “thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.” (Psalm 32:7) I am thankful the Lord has given me songs through the years to remember my journeys. Usually, I am going ‘through” or just beginning to ‘come out’ of a situation when I begin to hear the lyrics.

I wrote the following song in 2004. Yet this past week, it has played over and over in my head. When I awake, while doing chores, or preparing for bed, it has reminded me tomorrow is not promised. So I must do what needs doing, today.

I must:

  • forgive
  • love
  • pray
  • praise

Worthy of the Highest Praise

Tomorrow is never promised, so it must be today

When we come together in one accord offering our praise.

With songs of thanksgiving, with hands and hearts upraised,

Giving all to Him and to Him alone, Let us lift His wondrous name.

He is worthy of the highest praise.

He is holy.

And forever He will reign.

Let the earth rejoice.

Jesus Christ is Lord.

He is worthy of the highest praise.

During this holiday season remember the important things. When the family arrives, peer deeply into their eyes. Listen intently. Hug gently and lovingly. Laugh with all your might. Make a memory. And finally, give the Lord praise for all the blessings!

Happy Thanksgiving!

You Are God

Often when going through certain circumstances, I find myself writing. Dark blue words spill on tear-stained paper as my frustrations leave me on the floor. But, as I continue to write, something begins to happen. My prayers become praises when I am reminded of His Faithfulness.

Psalms 23As the words flow, they become part of me, never to be forgotten. Then, when life, once again, throws me for a loop, the words and music come out of nowhere and brings peace to my troubled soul.

 You Are God

You are God.

There is no other.

Who in Heaven can compare?

You are God.

Lord of all the earth and

Thy greatness I will declare.

Lily of the Valley!

Bright and Morning Star!

Everlasting Father!

Keeper of my heart!

Wonderful Counselor

Faithful and True

Prince of Peace

Mighty God

I worship You.

Do songs come to mind when you’re in the midst of trials?

Oh Lord, how I love You. I will lift my voice in praise to You. You are Faithful. Your mercies are new every morning! In times of trouble, You are there. I am not alone. Though I walk through darkened places, You are my light. I will not fear. When the enemy rages, You are my shield and buckler. I am safe from harm. Great is Thy Faithfulness! Great is Thy love and mercy! Let Thy name be forever praised.
